Vodafone Ghana has trained 21 staff in Accra on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) through an eight-week course facilitated by Lancaster University Ghana (LUG).
The course was aimed at introducing the concepts, algorithms, practical applications, current possibilities, and limitations of AI and ML while emphasizing responsible AI research and development.
The training also highlighted the need for individuals to continuously learn to advance their career paths due to the evolving nature of the work and technological space. The training forms part of Lancaster University Ghana’s Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Programmes and short courses aimed at developing skills and enhancing the knowledge of individuals and their organizations.
The participants had diverse backgrounds ranging from data analysis, performance analytics, software engineering, mobile money specialization, and revenue assurance analysis.
The course is vital for taking data-based decisions and will help better forecast numbers and understand the prescription and description of numbers and revenue forecasting to help organizations project into the future. The training will equip individuals and organizations with the necessary skill sets to meet market demands and needs in the face of changing customer experiences.
